Anderson High School
Freshman Gold Win
The Stony Point Freshman Gold team defeated the Anderson Trojans 26-6 in the season opener at Stony Point. Christian Torres scored first for the Tigers from 18 yards out. Hayden Simerly gathered up a blocked punt for the Tigers second touchdown. Giovanni Bonilla punched it in from 1-yard out followed by a 2-point run by Torres. Richard Garza broke loose and outran the Trojans for a 75-yard touchdown run to wrapup the Stony Point scoring attack. Dylan Cole led an opportunistic Tiger defensive unit with two fumble recoveries. John Hailes added a punt block for Stony Point. Coreyon Norris was solid at linebacker for the tenacious Tiger defensive unit.

Austin High School
Freshman Gold Wins Again
The Stony Point Freshman Gold football team rolled to a 29-12 win on the road at Austin High. Christian Torres led the Tiger scoring attack with a 53-yard touchdown reception from Cody Jones and a 73-yard kickoff return. Robert Torres scampered 64 yards to paydirt. Coreyon Norris scooped up a Maroon fumble and lumbered in from 33 yards out. Moses Hernandez kicked 3 PAT's. Anthony Runge added a 2-point reception from Jones. The Tigers are back in action next Thursday at Killeen Ellison. Game time is 5:30.

Gold Wins
A stout Stony Point defensive effort led the Tigers to a road win at Killen Ellison 14-6. Coreyon Norris and Dillon Cole each collected fumbles and Keven Smith intercepted an Eagle pass to lead the defense. Big hits were consistently delivered by Brandon Jones, Erick Reyes, Dhalston Cage, Matt Turner, John Moser, Juan Gonzalez, and Juanjose Tostado. William Dyess hauled in a Cody Jones pass from 4 yards out to get the Tigers on the board in the fourth quarter. Moses Hernandez added the 1-point kick. Jones scored on a 2-yard sneak to seal the victory for Stony Point. Hernandez was true on the point after.

McNeil High School
Freshman Gold Remain Undefeated
The Stony Point Freshman Gold football team kept its record perfect with a 28-6 win at McNeil. Dhalston Cage scooped up a Maverick fumble and rumbled 61 yards to paydirt to give the Tigers an early lead. Moses Hernandez added the PAT. Christian Torres scampered 70 yards for the Tigers second score. Hernandez was true with the kick. Cody Jones rushed in from 8 yards out. Hernandez added the kick. Kevin Smith tacked on the Tigers final score with a 6-yard touchdown run. Hernandez was true again. Defensively, John Moser had an interception and Coreyon Norris and Jaron Perry turned in big tackles for the Tigers.

Round Rock High School
Freshman Gold Wins Again
The Stony Point Freshman Gold Football team defeated Round Rock 21-0 to maintain its perfect 5-0 season record. Christian Torres scored on runs of 4 and 3 yards and Alasory Traore hauled in a 14-yard touchdown pass from Cody Jones to lead the Tigers offensive attack. Moses Hernandez was solid again on all three PAT's. Defensively, David Moreno recovered a Dragon fumble and Kevin Smith and Yemi Isola grabbed interceptions to lead the defensive effort. Quintin Leday and Alex Holstead were solid for the Tiger defensive secondary and linebackers John Hailes and Graham Guzzi delivered numerous big hits. The Tigers are back at home next Thursday versus Cedar Park. Game time is 5:30.

Freshman Gold Win vs Cedar Park
The Stony Point Tiger Freshman Gold football team rolled to a perfect 6-0 record with an impressive 33-0 shutout of the Cedar Park Timberwolves. Christian Torres had a big game for the Tigers, scoring on touchdown runs of 32, 34, and 48-yards. Austin Fox rumbled in for a 4-yard touchdown run. Keven Smith rounded out the scoring attack for the Tigers with a 30-yard TD run. Moses Hernandez added 3 extra point kicks. Dhalston Cage recovered a Cedar Park fumble and Alex Holstead and Quintin Leday each intercepted Timberwolf passes to lead the Stony Point defensive effort. David Moreno, Juan Gonzalez, Brandon Jones, and Matt Turner were solid in the defensive line for Stony Point.

Leander High School
Freshman Gold Remain Undefeated
Moses Hernandez nailed a 20 yard field goal with 3:23 remaining to give the Stony Point Tiger Freshman Gold football team a narrow 15-14 victory over the Leander Lions to maintain a perfect 7-0 season record. Cody Jones recovered a Lion fumble to set up Stony Point's first score. Alasory Traore hauled in a 35-yard touchdown pass from Jones. Jones later connected with Christian Torres for a 24-yard touchdown. Dhalston Cage recovered a fumble and turned in huge defensive sack to lead the Tiger defensive effort.

Freshman Gold vs. Pflugerville
The Stony Point Freshman Gold football team knocked off the Pflugerville Panthers 35-28 to improve its overall season record to a perfect 8-0. Christian Torres scored on a 25-yard touchdown run to get things rolling. Alasory Traore hauled in a 9-yard touchdown strike from Cody Jones. Evan Ruiz collected a Jones pass and scampered 65-yards to paydirt. Torres added a 5-yard run. Anthony Runge scored the final touchdown for the Tigers on a 9-yard pass from Jones. Moses Hernandez was perfect on five PAT kicks. Defensively, Keven Smith intercepted a Panther pass to shut down a big drive.

Georgetown High School
Freshman Gold Remain Undefeated With Win Over Georgetown
The Stony Point Freshman Gold football team knocked off Georgetown 16-6 to remain unbeaten on the year at 9-0. Cody Jones scampered in from 12 yards out to tie the game at 6 in the third quarter. Moses Hernandez kicked the extra point to give the Tigers a slim 7-6 advantage. Christian Torres sealed the victory with a 4-yard run late in the final period. Hernandez was true on the PAT. The Tiger defensive unit was dominant all night, recording a safety late in the 4th quarter. Dhalston Cage led all defenders with a sack and a fumble recovery. Matt Turner added a sack and half, Coreyon Norris delivered numerous big hits and a half a sack, and Keven Smith added an interception. Josh Carlin turned in a pivotal tackle on 4th and short to stonewall the Eagle offensive attack.

Westwood High School
Freshman Gold vs. Westwood
The Stony Point Freshman Gold football team capped off a perfect 10-0 season with a 46-6 win over the Westwood Warriors. Christian Torres scored three touchdowns on runs of 1, 47, and 4 yards to lead the Tiger offensive attack. Giovanni Bonilla added a 1-yard TD run. Kevin Smith hit paydirt with a 3-yard run. Cody Jones scored on a 28-yard run and hauled in Stony Point's only touchdown pass of the night from Hayden Simmerly for a 60-yard score. Coreyon Norris gathered a Warrior fumble and Smith added an interception to lead the Tiger defensive effort. Quinton Leday and Jaron Perry were both solid against the Warrior passing attack. Congratulations to the Tiger Freshman Gold football team for recording the schools first-ever perfect 10-0 record in football.
