Our JV won 2-1 in a rather sloppy performance overall offenisvely. We must take care of our snaps if we are to move the football. We play at 5:30 pm at Lampasas this Thursday.

Our JV won 2-1 vs Lampasas. They played well and are tuning up for Copperas Cove next week.

JV Blue Drops a Close One
Our JV Blue lost to Copperas Cove 27-26 and had 2 touchdowns called back! This vs a #1 ranked team in 4A. Our guys played hard but we need to improve.

JV Blue Drops Another Close One
The Stony Point JV Blue team once again fought hard but came up short. Down 14-0, the Tigers stormed back to go up 21 - 14, with big scores by Brendon Schindel, John Garofoli, and Khlilullah Rashid. Austin High answered back in the third and fourth quarter with big plays of their own to go back up 26-21. With less than 35 seconds left in the game, the Tigers fourth down play ended up incomplete in the end zone to end the game. Running Back Evan Brummett and Offensive Lineman Howard Thrasher played well for the Tiger offense, while Rashard Asmore and Johnny Evans led the Stony Point defense. The Blue team will face off with Killeen Ellison next Thursday night at home.

JV Blue Wins vs Ellison
The Stony Point JV Blue team finally got into the win column by beating the Ellison Eagles 27-19. The offense played consistently all night with long time-consuming scoring drives. With the score going back and forth, the Tiger defense stepped it up in the end by making a big 4th down stop to seal the victory. Outstanding plays were turned offensively by Malcolm Marks, Evan Brummet and Nate Broughton. Defensively big plays were turned by Johnny Evans with a fumble recovery, Nick Cestari and Kenny Odunaiya. The Tigers open district play next Thursday at home against the McNeil Mavericks.

JV Blue Falls Short
The Tigers lost a hard fought game to McNeil 27 to 20. After falling behind by 14 points, the tigers came back to end the first half tied. The Tiger defense played well in the second half, holding the Mavs scoreless until late in the fourth quarter. Offensively Malcolm Marks and Kalliluh Rashid lead the way with all the scoring. The entire Stony Point team played hard and in the end had a chance to win. The Tigers get back to action next Thursday against the Dragons at Dragon Stadium at 7:30.

JV Blue Wins vs Round Rock
The JV Blue had another nail bitter, the only difference; the Tigers came out on top. The Tiger offensive line proved strong throughout the game, paving the way for 2 Malcolm Marks touchdowns and one John Garolofi to Evan Brummet touchdown pass. The Tiger defense played hard and found away to stop the Dragons when it counted. Michael Wofford played a great defensive game at linebacker and also recovered a fumble on a fake field goal to make the score 21-20 in the Tiger's favor.

JV Blue Wins in a Sweep
The JV Blue Tigers brought their season record to 3-3 on the year with a dominating performance both offensively and defensively. Offensively Kalli Rashid ran with a purpose running through the Timberwolves defense all night making big play after big play. Also, scoring for the Tigers were Evan Brummett, Doug Kohn, Malcolm Marks, and 2 touchdowns by Rashid. Defensively the Tigers dominated all night, getting into the backfield and causing problems for the Timberwolves. John Andrews, Nick Cestari, Justin Adams, Seth Smith, Michael Wofford all had a great game for the Tigers on defense. The Tigers get back to action next Thursday at home against the Leander Lions at 7:30.

JV Blue Comes Up Short
The Stony Point JV Blue team once again fought hard but came up short, losing 34-17. The Tigers had their chances to take control of the game in the second half, but costly penalties and a late turnover turned out to be the downfall for the Tigers. The Tigers will be back in action next Thursday in Pflugerville against the Panthers at 7:30.

The JV Blue Tigers brought their season record to 3-4-1 on the year with a dominating performance both offensively and defensively. Offensively Khalilullah Rashid and Malcolm Marks ran the ball well through the Panther defense making big play after big play. Scoring for the Tigers were Malcolm Marks, and John Garofoli who also scored on a botched extra point for a 2 point conversion. Defensively the Tigers dominated all night getting into the backfield and causing problems for the Panther defense. Michael Wofford, Reshard Asmore, Brandon Hughes, Eric Bakos, Fernando Gutierrez had a great game for the Tigers on defense. The Tigers get back to action next Thursday at home against the Gerogetown Eagles at 7:30.

JV Blue Wins vs. Georgetown
Our Blue group defeated Georgetown 32-20 last night to improve to 4-4-1 for the year. Both sides of the ball played well and our offense shone throughout the night. Our Blue group finishes their season next Thursday @ Westwood @ 7:30 p.m. Great job!

JV Blue vs. Westwood
The Stony Point JV Blue Team Rolled to Victory in their last contest of the season. After a scoreless 1st quarter, the Tigers poured it on by scoring three touchdowns to Westwood’s one. Each team would add a score in the third quarter, and the Tigers would add one more in the fourth. Accounting for the scores were Tigers Kallil Rashid with two touchdowns, Evan Brummett with one touchdown and a 2 point conversion, John Garofoli also with a 2 point conversion and touchdown, Andrew Brown with a touchdown, and Fernando Gutierrez with a PAT. Stellar defense was turned out by Brandon Walton, Kevin White, Sklyar Scott, Brandon Hughes, Kevin Bulgerin, Johnny Evans, and Victor Odigihbor. The Tigers brought their season record to 5-4-1 with the victory.
