Varsity vs. Austin High
Our Varsity dropped a close one to Austin High 24-21 Thursday night. Our offense did well gaining 350 yards and having 23 first downs; while our defense held them to 340 yards and 13 first downs. We were hurt by an 81 yard TD run and a turnover on the Maroons 20 yard line with 4 minutes remaining. Our kids however fought to the end, and we almost came up with the big catch at the end of the game to set up a game tying field goal. This was a tough loss for us but we are anxious to take on Ellison next week there on Friday night @ 7:30 P.M.

Killeen Ellison High School

Our Offense was amazing, amassing 590 total yards while our defense held them to 343 yards and 7 points with the last score coming with under 3 minutes to play in the game. McNeil High School
Varsity Defeats McNeil
Our Varsity group came back from 17-0 to beat McNeil 35-31 in a thriller with 29 seconds remaining in the game. We were sluggish offensively at the beginning of the game but came on midway through the second quarter to put 14 on the board before half-time to be down by just 3. Our offense then exploded for 21 points the second half for the win. Defensively we played well at times but gave up an easy TD pass that really hurt us in the fourth. We also gave up a 4th and 8 TD that gave them the lead as well. Granted they were the #1 offense in the district with an average of 486 per game; we held them to 343, with our offense gaining 486 vs them. We are extremely proud of defeating McNeil after losing last year by 3 and defeating them the year before 18-17. We are now 3-1 with the loss coming to Austin High by 3 points (they just beat Westlake by 27-24). We play our rivals Round Rock this week and we are home at the Old Stadium @ 7:30 p.m. Great job!!!

We had many outstanding performances on the offensive side that enabled us to move the football. Our kicking game did well and our kids are hungry for more. Leander came into the game rated as high as 16 in the state. The game was one in which our defense came up big when we had to and our offense controlled much of the game. The score at halftime was 10-3. Our guys deserved this victory and we are excited to be where we are at this time. Great job!!!!!

Pflugerville High School
Varsity Defeats Pflugerville
Our Varsity group beat Pflugerville 39 - 34 Friday in front of a raucous crowd to go to 6-2 and 4-1 for the year. The win placed us in sole posession of first place in the district. Our offense was phenomenal the first half, scoring 33 points and 335 yards! Defensively we struggled the entire night and we must attempt to correct the issues we have on that side of the ball. However we had some guys make some big plays for us. Being up by 19 points at the half was difficult for us but our guys responded well when it counted.
The atmosphere was tremendous and our guys enjoyed the victory over Pflugerville. It was the first victory over Pflugerville. We will try and keep up the winning this Friday vs Georgetown there @ 7:30 p.m. in their final home game at their stadium. Georgetown is 5-3 and 3-2 for the year. Great job!!!!!!

Defensively, we continue to search for answers but we made some big plays in the third quarter but had a let down after going up 41-17 and allowed them 21 in the fourth quarter. I am extremely proud of our guys this year and we hope to finish strong next week vs Westwood as we prepare for the playoffs for the first time in our history. Great job!!!!!!!

We were down 10-7 at halftime and we struggled the entire game versus an inspired Westwood team. The victory gave us the outright District Championship and a matchup versus Bryan in the play-offs this Friday @ Brenham High School @ 7:30 p.m. on the visitor side.
Our kids did a fantastic job all year and I am very proud to be associated with this group of young men.

Varsity Beats Bryan in First Round Game 49-20 (First Ever Play-off Victory) November 19, 2007
Our Varsity defeated Bryan High School 49-20 in the first round of the state play-offs. This gives Stony Point the honor of winning its first play-off game.
Our kids did a marvelous job after going into the half tied at 14. We came out the second half and scored on offense, then recovered a fumble on the ensuing kick off and scored again. We kicked off again and recovered the ball and the offense scored again making the score 28-14. We never looked back after that, going up 42-14 entering the fourth quarter. We had multiple kids play very well throughout the game and finally won 49 - 20!
Our fans were loud and awesome, totalling ~ 4000! Stony Point is now 9-2 with Westfield to play in the Area Championship Saturday @ Sam Houston State University at 2:00 p.m. November 24th.
Great Job!!!!!!!!!

Spring Westfield High School
Varsity Falls Short vs Westfield
Our Varsity came up short in the Area Championship 33-21 on a very cold and miserable afternoon in Huntsville (SHSU) Saturday. We played to a 14-14 half but did not make the plays we usually have made throughout the year offensively. Our defense did well for the game, giving up a TD late in the game.
Our kids are to be commended for their play and conduct throughout the entire season and this trip. Our guys played very well and we had opportunities to win the game. We finished 9-3 and are District and Bi-District Champions. It has been a pleasure coaching this group who got us on the map in Texas High School Football!
Great Job!!!!!!!!!
