Freshman White vs. Temple High School Scrimmage

Our 1st team won 5-1 vs A&M Friday. We looked good on offense overall. Our defense made big plays at opportune times to shut them out. Our 2nd group won 3-0 and played well. Our JV Blue won 4-1 and looked good. Our Gold tied 1-1. Our Freshman. looked good winning 6-4 and our Freshman White looked good vs Temple's B team. We play Alamo Heights this Thursday @ 7:00pm at the Palace and Friday our Freshman are at home @ 5:30pm and 7:15pm. We have had good practices and are excited to see where we are at in non-district versus a good Alamo Heights ball club.

Freshman White Wins Opener

The Tiger defense played well. Linebacker Rudy Alverez caused 3 fumbles and recovered 2. Defensive Tackle Robert Lucio also added 2 recoveries and 2 sacks.

On the offense Rodrick Asmore led the way with 52 yards on 10 carries.

Our White team lost to Hutto 12-0 . Both sides of the ball did well but our offense could not get going. We will work to get better.

Freshman White Drop One to Lago Vista's A Team 20-0

In a hard fought battle the Tigers fell to the Vikings 20-0. Robert Lucio led the defense with 8 tackles and 2 forced fumbles. Quaterbacks Micah Bartlett and Marco Olvera led the offense very well.

Our White group dropped one 20 - 0 vs Lago Vista's A team. We still did not get all in the game and that is our fault. We have a White team to allow all to play and we did not get it done. This will be fixed from this point on!

Freshman White vs Temple High School B Team

Freshman White Tie Temple 14-14

The Tigers tied the Wildcats B Team in a defensive struggle 14-14. Seth Allison recovered a blocked punt for a score,and Marcus Hairston ran back an interception for a 70-yard score. In the final minute of the game, Cody Hollingshead ran back a blocked field goal to tie the game.

The defense scored all the points in the game. We are proud of this group of kids for their achievements. We have Giddings B Team scheduled for here @ 4:00 PM next week.

Freshman White Win Against Belton

The Stony Point Tigers took down the Belton Tigers 14-0 last night. The Tigers were led by quaterbacks Micah Bartlett and Marco Olvera. Darrian Bryant scored both of the Tiger touchdowns. Marcus Hairston led a strong Tiger rushing attack. The Tiger defense pitched a shutout. We are proud of our Tigers!

Our white group won vs Belton 14-0 for its first victory!. They are now 1-2-2 for the year. We had some guys perform well and the defense recorded the shutout. Great Job!!!

Freshman White vs Georgetown

Freshman White Win Against Georgetown

The Tigers traveled to Georgetown for a district showdown with the Eagles. The Tiger defense held the Eagles scoreless, and the offense capitalized on key turnovers for the victory. Markell Autry ran back a 65-yard interception for a score, and Marcus Hairston also added another score. The Tiger Defense was led by Marco Alacron, Devonte Darden, and Rondell Gatlin. The offense was led by quarterback Micah Bartlett and a fierce rushing attack that included running backs Hairston, Melvin Canada, and Darrion Bryant. Rodrick Asmore had 2 receptions for 44 yards.

Freshman White vs Belton

Freshman White Defeat Belton 20-6

The Stony Point Tigers defeated Belton last night 20-6. After giving up a score on the opening kickoff, the Tigers defense stepped up and shut Belton out the rest of the game. The offense played well, scoring its highest point total of the season led by quarterback Micah Bartlett. Running Backs Melvin Canada, Marco Olvera, and Marcus Hairston ran the ball very well. Wide Receiver Roderick Asmore had 2 receptions for 47 yards and a score. On the defensive side of the ball, the Tigers were led by Robert Lucio, Marco Alacron, Seth Allison, and Dax Wade. Cody Adams also added an interception.

Our White group struck for 20 unanswered points to secure the victory over Belton. They played well on both sides of the ball throughout the night. They have now won 4 and tied 1 for the year! Great Job!!!!!

Freshman White vs Lago Vista

White Teams Loses a Close One

Stony Point White Tigers fought hard, but came up short. Shawn Stone and Braizon Fresch lead the team and played hard all night. Chris Waters ran very well all night with 107 rushing yards, and Chase Hernandez scored three times. They were able to have such great games largely because of such hard blocks by LJ Dollente and Dominic Morello. Matthew Glenn, Erin Nunn, and Jamal Wyatt all blocked well all four quarters.

The defense played well and came up with some big plays, giving the White team a chance to win it at the end. Rudy Alvarez, Keary Burris, and Seth Allison all had hard tackles. The White team also had great coverage by Markell Autry, Xavier Ebbs, Jordan Russel.

Final score was Stony Point White 22 and Lago Vista 24.

Our Freshman White group lost 24-22 to Lago Vista after giving up a safety early in the game. We were much more competitive this time around and the kids played well.

Freshman White vs Westwood

White Defeats Westwood 13-0

Last night the Tigers ended their freshman season with a win! The White team traveled to Westwood last night and defeated the Warriors B team 14-8. The Tigers piled up over 150 yards rushing led by L.J. Dollente, Micah Bartlett, Charlie Waters, and Marquise Vega. A number of first downs and great game management by QB Micah Bartlett was key in the Tiger victory. The defense played exceptionally well, as usual, led by Seth Allison, Cody Hollingshead, John Gizdich, and Andrew Aguilar. The secondary played lights out! Mr. All-Purpose Charlie Waters punted the ball deep into Warrior territory late in the game and the Tigers were able to run the clock and end the season in dramatic fashion. With 30 seconds remaining in the game, QB Micah Bartlett hit Roderick Asmore for the game winning score from 40 yards out! We are proud of the white team finishing the season 5-3-1.

Our white group played Westwood's B team and came away with a victory 13-0. We played very well on both sides of the ball for the victory. This group finished 4-3-2 for the year. Great Job!!!!!!
